Lily

In case anyone is wondering (this is for you, Annie) ...

Lily is doing great! When she came into this world on April 1st ... yes, April Fools ... she weighed a mere 4 pounds 9 ounces. However, she proved to the doctors that she was ready to go home with mom after just 48 hours.

Since then, we have discovered that Lily has quite a personality. She loves to sing (hopefully gets that from her mother) and she is an extremely happy baby.

We took her to the doctor last week because she had a slight fever and some congestion. Turns out, she had an ear infection. She's on an antibiotic now. But she seems to be dealing with "being sick" a whole lot better than I ever do. She is truly amazing sometimes. When we weighed her at the office, she wiggled around so much that is was difficult to get a good reading. But the nurse is fairly confident that Lily is around 14 pounds 10 ounces. Give or take. As best as we can determine. Sort of. (You get the idea.)

Anyway, we're very much looking forward to Lily's first Christmas. She is already trying to open the presents under the tree!

The picture at the top was taken at 6 months. 2 months have gone by since then, and I'm trying to wait until Lily feels better to take her Christmas picture. We also had some photos taken before Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law who was in town for Thanksgiving.
