Weekends stink!

I am going to be completely honest here and say that I now officially hate weekends.

Weekends are supposed to be the time of the week when I can catch up on my rest from the long, hard work week. Not so. "No rest for the wicked", as they say. I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon lying in my bed with two very hot little girls who were sawing logs - which just made me more miserable because I couldn't sleep, but was surrounded by those who could, and they were making me so hot on top of it!

One might logically ascertain that if I wasn't able to sleep, perhaps I was able to get a lot of stuff done around the house ...? Nope. I always have this enormous list for myself and can only accomplish 3 items on it. Thankfully, Lewis did the girls' laundry - it was on my list, but I was busy feeding Eden. Again. (While her weight is at a normal range, her height measured at the 90th percentile last visit. Those of you who know me will find that very hard to believe - a shorty-pants like me, having a kid in the 90th percentile in height? Surely, it's just a phase!)

So the only things I managed to get done? I put some of my smaller-sized clothes in a hanging Space Bag for easier storage - since I won't be getting into those again, any time soon. I put our winter comforters in a regular Space Bag to store under the bed until we're out of this 100 degree weather. I took Lily to her last swim lesson Saturday morning and went to the grocery store afterward. (That stunk. I hate Wal-Mart, too. But I still go there.) Oh, I cooked supper last night and started a pork loin in the crockpot this morning for tonight's supper. That about sums it up. Oh, wait - I cleaned a toilet. Yay for me!

What I have left to do: My own laundry. Vaccum the floors. Mop the tile. Get the stains out of the carpet in the living room. Dust. (Maybe Lily can help with that?) Put all the general clutter "away". It's driving me nuts. Clean out the fridge.

So, if anyone is reading this - please say a prayer for me that I'll have enough energy tonight to do at least a couple of the items on my To-Do list. The stress of not getting things done is keeping me from sleeping as well as I should.
